The Wisconsin Gazette endorses Chris as the best fit for Senate District 7, noting that

“Larson took it upon himself, without being asked, to introduce a measure last year that would have extended employment benefits to the same-sex partners of county workers. He also got a majority of his fellow supervisors to vote for the proposal, which was vetoed by county executive and Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Walker.”

The Milwaukee Magazine News Buzz blog notes in “Piling on Plale” that Bill Christofferson has made “an analysis showing $8,100 of the $35,000 [incumbent District 7 State Senator Jeff] Plale raised in the first half of 2010 came from “people connected to electric utilities.” Cable TV executives, he says, contributed $2,650. Phone company folks added $6,500. Christofferson suggest there’s a link between the donations and Plale’s roles in killing the Clean Energy Jobs Act this year and writing de-regulation bills for the cable and phone industries. (The phone one died.)”

From The Isthmus: “Many Democrats are especially upset with Plale for his role in preventing the passage of the Clean Energy Jobs Act,. Although an initial sponsor of the legislation, Plale, as chair of the Senate Utilities Committee, never brought the bill to a vote.”

Paul Soglin links to Christofferson’s writing about this for Uppity Wisconsin and Blogging Blue’s detailed accounting of Plale’s “money train.”
